Ability to lock the slice linear and slice area buttons to slice multiple segments

When using the slice (linear & area) function, we have to keep clicking on the slice button to slice multiple segments. Is there a way (maybe double click, or shift+click the button) to lock the slice button "on" to slice multiple takeoff items, and then click again once done to turn it off?
